Example 1:  Prices

Analysts at an investment bank use Clovis to distribute bond prices to clients worldwide. Each client can receive different prices and offerings tailored uniquely to their needs. The salespeople simply keep their regular spreadsheet of prices at their desktop and at a click of a button a Clovis e-mail is created to send direct to their clients.

As the Clovis e-mail is received by each recipient, data on the client’s desktop in the ‘Bond Axes’ folder automatically updates. Old data is discarded and the new data co-mingles with other prices to the recipient’s preferred view. Previously the client was sent a standard e-mail with an Excel attachment, having to manually open all e-mails and collate prices each time a new message was sent. Now the data automatically unpacks, co-mingles and updates and can be linked live into their proprietary models or spreadsheets.

Example 2:  Research and Alerts

A research company regularly sends headlines, reports and alerts as e-mails to its clients. Using Clovis Publishing Server they can continue to output directly from their database or content management system and just add intelligence to the e-mails.

Their clients can easily download the Clovis reader and now instead of e-mails arriving in their inbox along with all other e-mails and spam - the reports and alerts are automatically filed in the Research Company’s branded folder on the client’s desktop, updating old records, and can be browsed sorted and filtered quickly for better access and use of the information.


Example 3:  Project Teams

A marketing group in a service company work on a development project with outsourced consultants and partners. They are all in different locations on different networks. Using Clovis within Outlook the team leader creates a simple ‘New Project’ smart folder for the team to track items, by status, priority and deadline date.

Everyone continues to use Outlook to send e-mails as normal, but now the e-mails are smart and when they arrive at each others desks they automatically file in the correct folder and update previous messages. All team members are saved time trolling through their Inbox to collate messages or find the latest thread, and can now instantly sort by status priority or deadline date without ever leaving Outlook.
